Aromatised teas are the result of mixing green teas, oolongs or processed black teas with spices, herbs, flower petals or essential fruit oils.
In China, since tea was discovered, they have always added aromas to the infusion, either to the tea itself or to the water before or while making the infusion.
Classical aromatised teas are those with rose or jasmine.
Earl Grey is halfway between the old teas that came from China and the new mixtures; this tea, with aroma of bergamot, has existed for a hundred years.
The new aromatised teas are given the names of the fruit, flower or species that is added to the tea (mango tea, violet tea, cinnamon tea, etc.) or they are given a commercial name (magic moon, sweet sunset, etc).
For each aromatised tea, one needs to look for the tea or mixture of teas that makes the most of the aroma.
