An aromatic herb. It is a plant with an intense, pleasant aroma which is 10 to 40 cm high.

It has 25 cal per 100 g and is rich in vitamins A and C.

Thyme, which can be found all year round, originates from the Mediterranean region where it is very common as a wild plant.

Thyme is used as a condiment for many dishes: it gives taste to the traditional Catalan dish "escudella", to poultry, sauces and game. It is also used with fish and fruit.
